Before You Remove It—Check Your Agreement!

You are packing before closing—but can you take everything with you?

Items attached to the house or land may form part of the sale unless the Agreement of Purchase and Sale clearly excludes them. Removing an item that should remain may create a last-minute dispute with the purchaser and potentially delay closing.

Before signing the Agreement, discuss with your real estate agent exactly what is included and what you intend to take. If there is any doubt, make sure it is clearly written into the Agreement.
